What Cheers Restore is

Cheers Restore is the flagship product from Cheers Health, the brand behind "cheers hangover pills" searches. The product page calls it an "After-Alcohol Aid" and its "#1 Best-Selling After Alcohol Aid", and notes the brand was "As seen on Shark Tank". A bottle holds 12 doses, 36 capsules, and Cheers says the capsules have a slight lemon scent.

Cheers describes Restore as a "patented dual action formula" and lists two headline ingredients: dihydromyricetin (DHM) and L-cysteine. Cheers also sells other products under the same name, including Relief (a next-morning aid), Protect (daily liver support), and Hydrate, so check that a "Cheers" listing is actually Restore.

Cheers Restore ingredients

The Cheers page groups Restore's ingredients by job. It says DHM "reduces GABA rebound" and "supports your liver", and that L-cysteine "reduces acetaldehyde exposure" and "increases glutathione levels". Its ingredient section also lists a "patented combo of DHM + cysteine", "clinically studied liver-supporting ingredients", "essential vitamins & nutrients" and "electrolyte replenishment".

Cheers says it uses no proprietary blends, and that Restore is made in the USA with globally sourced ingredients, in an FDA regulated, GMP certified facility. It lists Restore as vegetarian, gluten free, and free of dyes and artificial ingredients. The per-ingredient milligram amounts sit on Cheers' Supplement Facts panel, which is published as an image, so we have not restated them here. Open the panel on the Cheers page if you want to compare exact amounts.

Both ingredients have a research trail. DHM's alcohol-related signaling was described in a 2012 rat and cell study, and a 2026 systematic review of DHM in alcohol-related conditions gathered 22 studies. L-cysteine's role is tied to acetaldehyde, the compound NIAAA describes as the first product of alcohol metabolism. More on that step is on alcohol metabolism and what is acetaldehyde.

How to take Cheers Restore

Cheers' directions are 3 capsules after your last drink or before going to bed. The page says Restore "works while you sleep" and is most effective when taken as close to your last drink as possible, while alcohol is still in your system. If you don't know when your last drink will be, Cheers says to take it before bed.

That timing is the biggest practical difference from ZBiotics, which is a drink you take before or with your first drink. The side-by-side is on Cheers vs ZBiotics.

Cheers Restore reviews and results claims

On November 1, 2026, the Restore page showed 4.7 out of 5 from 1,115 reviews: 930 five-star, 98 four-star, 22 three-star, 21 two-star and 44 one-star, with 92% of reviewers saying they would recommend it. Cheers' headline claim is that you will "wake up feeling like you drank roughly half the amount", or get your money back. Its FAQ says this comes from a human study run for its granted patent, in which participants felt an average of 50% better across 8 typical effects. Separately, a 2026 observational study of 90 adults, funded by Cheers Health and published in Nutrients, associated Cheers Restore use with better next-day ratings for energy, mental clarity, physical well-being and sleep quality compared with alcohol-only nights.

Cheers' refund covers your first order on cheershealth.com, up to 1 unit of each product, within 45 days. Purchases from other retailers go through that retailer. Cheers also sells on Amazon and says it is in more than 30,000 retail locations.
